We are hoping to have TWO litters SOON!!! If all goes according to plan we should have a litter around May 10th, and another one the end of July!
We'll keep you posted. We are always so excited to see what they are going to look like as they begin to mature a little! The litter due in May will all be considered F2 Miniature Bernedoodles, because the parent dogs are all F1, meaning first generation. That means that their mother or father was either a full Bernese Mountain Dog and the other was a full miniature Poodle. The F2 generation will still be considered a mostly hypoallergenic dog.
The litter that is due that we hope to have the end of July will be from a mom that is a F1B miniature Bernedoodle, meaning that her mom was a miniature Bernedoodle bred back to a toy poodle. This makes her have even more poodle in her. Some breeders do this because it makes an even more hypoallergenic dog. She will be bred to our other F1 miniature Bernedoodle male. They refer to this combination of puppies as "Teddy Bears" because of their darling appearance. This will be our first litter of these two dogs, so we are really hoping it works out as planned. Keep checking back here for updates. She is not due to come in heat until the end of May.
I looked at a commercial pet store the other day at some F2 Miniature Bernedoodles. They were absolutely adorable, but the prices were unreal!!! Our desire is to put wonderful puppies in loving homes with great families, while also subsidizing our social security a little in a business we can truly enjoy. We had such a hard time letting the first litter go that we ended up keeping one. We posted a picture of Apollo on our previous litter page, so you can see just how adorable one of these cuties can turn out to be!!!
If you are interested in a puppy you can place one on hold for $200. "Pick of the Litter" will be determined by the order the reserve money comes in.
